This auction took place in Savannah Georgia over 2 days March 2-3, 1859 and is refered to as “The Weeping Time”. The slaves were from the Butler Plantation Estate in Darien, Georgia while the owner of the plantation lived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The artist born in Philadehia, currently lives in Savannah, and printed the book in Darien. Edition of 20.
